Mp3: Rick Ross – RetroSuperFuture ft. Wale & Wiz Khalifa

Posted by Matt | Posted in Music | Posted on 18-03-2011

Rick Ross

RetroSuperFuture was seen and heard on Rick Ross’ last mixtape, Ashes to Ashes, but gets to see some action again as Rick Ross enlisted the help of his newest Maybach Music Group signee, Wale, for a remix of the song which adds him to the initial Wiz Khalifa feature. Rick Ross is currently gearing up and probably still working on his upcoming album, Self Made and this song will probably not appear on his next album, but it’s still something while we wait for it to drops.

Self Made is due May 24.

Mp3: Wale – Talk2Me ft. Roscoe Dash

Posted by Matt | Posted in Music | Posted on 14-12-2010

Wale

There has been rumours floating around saying that Wale signed or about to sign with Rick Ross Maybach Music Group… which is not only unexpected, but also kind of odd. Fine, he did get some buzz appearing on Waka’s single No Hands alongside Roscoe, but to go out of his way and actually sign on a southern label? I mean that’s a game changer right there as you can see with this newly released song, Talk2Me.

I mean there is no pretty way to say it, but Wale seems to be selling out. You can say whatever you want about how he’s doing his thing back in DC with Black Cobain and Fat Trel, but it is what it is, nobody was fucking Wale musically so he went ahead and got on somebody else music… gotta give him something though, he’s still out there trying, but maybe just not in the right way… This might also mark the day I stop fucking with Wale musically =/

Mp3: J. Cole – You Got It ft. Wale x In The Morning ft. Drake

J. Cole

J. Cole upcoming mixtape, Friday Night Lights, is right around the corner and here’s the last two leaks of it that will make their way on the internet before the actual drop of the mixtape later on today. The two songs are the perfect exemple of the wide range of things J. Cole can actually do, on one he goes on a smooth and laid back track featuring Drake who is probably wishing he’d have written it while the other song is an up tempo track making the featuring Wale feel right at home who also probably wishes it was his own track.

Mp3: Wale – Mike Tomlin

Wale

Wiz Khalifa has been gaining major mainstream buzz ever since he released his latest single, Black & Yellow and for a good reason too as the song is just straight fire from beginning to end. I personally kept this track on repeat for so long when I first heard of it and seems like I’m not the only one as Wale seems to like it enough to jump on the song to give us his own rendition of it while staying true to the theme of the song by sending some words towards Pittsburgh Steelers’ coach, Mike Tomlin.

Mp3: Lupe Fiasco – I’m Beamin’ (AllCityChessClub Remix)

Posted by Matt | Posted in Music | Posted on 13-10-2010

Lupe Fiasco

Lupe released this song via his twitter today featuring his very own hip-hop supergroup and to be perfectly honest, it is the first time I hear about new group even if it was announced back in April or something, but then again I am not really following day to day news in the hip-hop game.

Anyway, For your knowledge (and mine), AllCityChessClub is composed of Asher Roth, Charles Hamilton, The Cool Kids, Blu, B.o.B., Diggy Simmons, Loopy Tabasco & Dosage. J. Cole & Wale are also supposedly part of the group, but they didn’t make an appearance on the track… AllCityChessClub is basically the XXL Freshmen of the past two years making songs together.

Mp3: Yo Gotti – Look In Da Mirror (remix) ft. J. Cole, Wale, and Wiz Khalifa

Posted by Matt | Posted in Music | Posted on 01-10-2010

Yo Gotti, J. Cole, Wale & Wiz Khalifa

Alright, so I don’t fuck with Yo Gotti, but the fact that he assembled a pretty heavy hitter line up for the remix has definitely got me listening. To be honest, he should be more careful on who he invites on his tracks as he got murder once again, by pretty much everyone who’s on the remix.

Video/Mp3: Wale – The Work x The Guilty Pleasure (Waka Flaka ft. Roscoe Dash & Wale)

Posted by Matt | Posted in Music | Posted on 15-09-2010

Wale

Wale is keeping busy lately, releasing new material by the scoop especially with the momentum he gathered from the release of his latest mixtape, More About Nothing. His new video for The Work, also known as Workin’ was released yesterday via his twitter and was directed by David Banks.

He was also seen on Waka Flaka’s latest video for his song No Hands featuring himself and Roscoe Dash. A song that can also be found on Wale’s More About Nothing as The Guilty Pleasure. So I don’t know if it was Wale’s who offered a guest spot on his mixtape to Waka or it was a Wale’s song to begin with, but I guess it became a Waka Flaka’s song after all, now that a video was released a week ago labeling him as the main artist.

Mp3: Wale – The Extra Trip (The Way To My Love)

Posted by Matt | Posted in Music | Posted on 07-09-2010

Wale

Twitter is such a wonderful tool, because not only are your favorite artists using it to communicate, but also because some of them post new songs directly from their account which keeps you in the loop way faster than checking up on blogs every couple of hours. Wale has been known to do this since he started this whole Twitter business, and The Extra Trip is not only another track fresh off his Twitter, but also a reworked version of a song that can be found on his latest mixtape, More About Nothing.

Wale

Fresh off the release of his latest mixtape, More About Nothing, Wale decided to unleash the visuals for The Number Won to keep the momentum going. And you know, even if his debut album was so-so, he did get it 100% right with More About Nothing, so if you slept on it when it came out two weeks ago or so, you best grab it as soon as you can, because this is the Wale we all learned to love in his mixtape days. Here, I’ll even throw you a link for you to get it right away.

Mixtape: Wale – More About Nothing

Posted by Matt | Posted in Music | Posted on 03-08-2010

Wale

Alright, so Wale has been working on his new mixtape for awhile now. Entitled More About Nothing, it is set to be the follow up of his successful tape, The Mixtape About Nothing and saw the light of day today around an hour ago. He released the first single of it yesterday, Black & Gold, and was a pretty dope song. As for the tape, I didn’t listen it yet as I was out for lunch, but I really hope that it’s all sort of awesome because to be honest, his debut album was meeeh /Eminem, so as a big Wale fan, I really hope that this is where he’s going to bounce back… pretty much like what Asher Roth did with Seared Foie Gras w/ Quince & Cranberry.
