Here’s your weekly dose of How To Make It In America… I don’t know if I shared this with y’all yet or not, but the theme song of the tv show is possibly the best one I’ve ever heard lately, damn AND features the best music, I mean, Damian Marley & Nas? damn x2.

You’re probably wondering what Yo Gabba Gabba! is… or maybe you know what it is, but to be honest, before today, I had no idea what it was. Yo Gabba Gabba! is a Nickelodeon kids show where monsters and robots lives in a fanstasy world of primary colours. I think that the choice of having Of Montreal in their show is quite fitting as they definitely look the part as their costume is not too far-fetched from what they usually wear. I’m also not really sure why, but not only are they showcasing Of Montreal in today’s episode, but Mos Def and the Flaming Lips will take part of tomorrow’s episode where others like Erykah Badu, Band of Horses, the Killers, Solange Knowles and the Faint are expected to make an appearance in future episodes.

It’s actually hard to find a follow up to a major release like Drop The World of Lil Wayne, but you can’t get enough of Alicia Keys, I mean come on … Anyway, she was on Late Night with David Letterman to promote her newest album The Element of Freedom with her latest single Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart.
Alicia Keys newest album, The Element of Freedom can be found in retail stores and on iTunes as of now.

So The xx did their US nation tv debut on Carson Daly last friday. If you don’t know who The xx are, well wake up mang, as Carson says in the video, they are probably the UK’s most buzzed new act as of now, but I’ll let MTV alumni Carson Daly say more as he’s been on point with his wikipedia business to describe who they are in prologue of their performance in the video.

While this is not Wale’s first appearance on the Late Night, it is the first performance of Wale as the main act as he his prior visit was to provide support to Daniel Merriweather on his track Change. Which is also when he basically forced Fallon’s hand to re-invite him as the main attraction. Well I guess the timing couldn’t be better as Wale debut album Attention Deficit came out at the beginning of the week.
I personally didn’t get the chance to cope the album or even listen to it yet, but the reviews been fairly good so far. Comparing to his mixtape days, the album has a pretty decent amount of big hitters featuring. Counting the like of K’Naan, Rihanna, Pharrell and even … Gucci Mane. So yeah, grab the album as soon as possible, I know that I will.

Florence + The Machine was in town a week ago and while I make the best of my time and wait for her next appearance in Montreal, here’s her second television performance as she takes on Jimmy Kimmel with the song Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up), which is, if you have to know, one of my favorite off her debut album Lungs.

sigh, I can’t believe I’m posting something relating to 90210, but it involves Pharrell and his brady bunch N.E.R.D. … so yeah, they performed a new song called either W.T.F. or Radio, or maybe both of that in the same title, only the release of the CDQ will tell.
