Here is the second release of Swizz Beatz very own music day that he called Monster Mondays. After putting out a great record last week featuring Estelle, this week installement, titled Bang Bang! features two A-listers by the name of Pusha T and Pharrell while Swizz Beatz is comfortably sitting in the production chair once again.

It’s been awhile already that Kanye started the whole G.O.O.D. Friday movement and it seems that other artists have been picking up the idea as of late. Wu Tang announced a week or two ago that Wednesday would be now their property as and now with Swizz Beatz’ coming forward with his own weekly release initiative on Mondays calling it Monster Mondays.

The first song out of it was realeased this very morning titled DJ Play The Beat which features British artist Estelle and I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up getting spins up in the clubs as it’s probably aiming for that to begin with.

Alright, so Mary J. Blige joined forces with Drake & Swizz Beatz at this year edition of the VMAs as they performed a reworked version of Drake’s hit song Fancy which can be found on his debut album, Thank Me Later. What better ways to end the week then with the weekly release of Kanye West G.O.O.D. Friday initiative? This time around, he collaborated with RZA, Hov, Swizz Beatz, Pusha T & CyHi Da Prynce to bring you a brand new record with So Appalled. If the title sounds similar, it might be because Kanye appeared on a Dirty Money/P.Diddy track that was named I’m So Appalled. I’m pretty sure that the similarities stops there though.

Also, is Swizz Beatz’ going to make the big jump? I mean he keeps popping up more and more as a featured rapper/singer and not just as a producer… As much as Swizz Beatz is a good producer, I’m not really sure a full album would be interesting. Guess only time will tell. Have a good weekend!

Another Friday, another dope Kanye track. Technically this came out today, but how can we complain about weekly free music from five different amazing artists at a time? I’m excited to hear Mos Def back on a ‘Ye track, it’s been a little while, and I’m damn glad that we’ve got more than just the Bieber song to hear ‘Ye and Raekwon collaborating. Swizz needs to get off the mic and back behind the mixer though. And shoutout to the track’s running time, seven and a half minute rap songs are what we live for at A&B Mag.

The thing I love about this song is that it creates a connection between Gucci Mane La Flare and Dario Argento. Argento is a horror film pioneer, the main man behind the Italian subgenre of Giallo, one of his best films being Tenebre. Tenebre is scored by the amazing rock band and horror movie composers, Goblin. Goblin wrote a wonderful theme for Tenebre, which was sampled by Justice for “Phantom Pt. II”. “Phantom Pt. II” is the source of Gucci Mane’s “It’s Gucci Time” half-second sample looped throughout the entire song. What a fucked up, wonderful world.

M : Alright, well Ryan was faster than me this time around, I was in the process to write something up when the notification popped up on my twitter that it had been posted already. Oh well, who cares anyway right? Kanye dropped his long awaited remix and it’s all that matters. He promised awesomeness with this remix and I can safely say that Kanye kept his words because this song is just straight fire and he did so by enlisting the aid of heavy hitter his big brother Hov & producer extraordinaire Swiss Beatz to kick it up a notch, and kicking it up a notch they did… because goddamn, this shit is heavy.
