Combining the songwriting talents of Jake Shears of Scissor Sisters, Cathy Dennis (Kylie Minogue’s Can’t Get You Out Of My Head), Anthony Rossomando of Dirty Pretty Things/Klaxons and Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow, “Somebody To Love Me’s” smooth tribal beat gives this track a thoroughly modern shot of supercharged soul.
The duet between 80’s icon Boy George and Andrew Wyatt’s pristine falsetto works harmoniously, and when Boy George belts out the Mowtown-tinged chorus there is no doubt that this is one of Record Collection’s finest moments.

I’m going out of town as well tomorrow, so the bloggy might be on hiatus until Wednesday afternoon-ish. Don’t forget about us though, we won’t forget about you <3.
So, Mark Ronson manages to use all the techniques in modern pop music (specifically in rap songs featuring white guys on the chorus) without coming off as a cheeseball. His melody/lyrics for the track make it actually stand out from all of those other songs about dead presidents and fast-ass hoes.
And damn, Ghostface is 40 years old, you guys. How many 40-year olds do you know who can spaz on a verse?
