Alright, I don’t post alot of tv shows performances, but seeing Cage and St. Vincent on stage with CuDi during his performance of Maniac, the last single of his forthcoming album, Man On The Moon II: The Legend Of Mr. Rager, at the Jimmy Fallon Late Night is something that I find utterly cool. Not only because Maniac is one of my favorite song of the album, but Cage on national television? count me in anytime.

Man On The Moon II: The Legend Of Mr. Rager will arrive in stores on November 9th.

I don’t watch Jimmy Fallon on a regular basis, so I don’t know if Justin Timberlake was there just for this segment or if he was a guest during the show. Anyway, this said segment is pretty dope! Jimmy Fallon & Justin Timberlake goes through the repertoire of hip-hop from 80s-90s to now and all that while being backed by Late Night resident house band, The Roots.

Alright, so Curtis was one of the guest on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon yesterday also being the musical guest, so if you’re interested of what this gangstentrepreneur is up to lately, well check out his interview and if his latest activities does not interest you at all, you can watch his performance with the house band, The Roots.

Mos Def and Talib Kweli came up together on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to perform their recent collaboration off Mos Def latest album, The Ecstatic. Black Star get it.

While this is not Wale’s first appearance on the Late Night, it is the first performance of Wale as the main act as he his prior visit was to provide support to Daniel Merriweather on his track Change. Which is also when he basically forced Fallon’s hand to re-invite him as the main attraction. Well I guess the timing couldn’t be better as Wale debut album Attention Deficit came out at the beginning of the week.

I personally didn’t get the chance to cope the album or even listen to it yet, but the reviews been fairly good so far. Comparing to his mixtape days, the album has a pretty decent amount of big hitters featuring. Counting the like of K’Naan, Rihanna, Pharrell and even … Gucci Mane. So yeah, grab the album as soon as possible, I know that I will.

You may remember earlier this year when Brandon put together a little show at a little bookstore in SoHo for which Dirty Projectors performed the little feat of composing a six-song suite for Björk in a week, after recording their best record to date, and then proceeded to blow everyone’s minds with it. There were only 300 or so lucky ones in the room that night, but after last night’s stop at Fallon, a lot more became privy to a piece of Dave Longstreth’s latest. At Housing Works the song was called “Until The Day I Die,” which Dave described to us as “Song of Amber, sighting the Whale, statement of devotion.” (The overarching piece is titled Mount Wittenberg Orca, which Dave said “is about a day three weeks ago that Amber Coffman was in Northern California watching whales from a mountain called Mount Wittenberg. The six songs are imagining the moment Amber saw this whale, and the whale saw her.” He also said Mount Wittenberg Orca was “definitely like Bitte Orca’s younger, hotter sister,” so there’s that.) Last night new DPs superfan Jimmy Fallon informed us its been retitled “When The World Comes To An End.” After it’s done, Fallon immediately says “You gotta come back” before asking of Amber, Haley, and Angel’s harmonies, “How did you do that?” Good question. Yes, this might have been said a couple of times already, but it’s always great to watch music performances on Jimmy Fallon, mainly due to The Roots backing up the featured artists, and it’s even better when the artists have some sort of history with The Roots, artists such as Q-Tip who was on Jimmy Fallon doing his thing, performing Barely In Love.
