If you thought that Kanye would have a quieter year now that his latest album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, was released late last year, think again. Because not only will Kanye probably embark on a world tour to promote the release of that said album, but he also intends to keep himself busy with different projects, one being his collaborative album with Hov, Watch The Throne. No official released date as been stated so far, but here’s a brand new single of it and it goes HARD!

Here we are. Rumors of the track only surfaced within the last 24 hours or so and now we’ve got it in our laps. Gotta say, a line-up like this, it’s a formula for a 6-minute DJ Khaled track about brown paper bags and hoes, but damn, they really thought this one through. The concept is about how stupid music is now, and who better to tell the story than the elites of the game. Shady even comes in with a tongue-in-cheek chorus to hit the message home. Y’all impressed?

Kanye’s newest album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, has finally hit the stores everywhere yesterday, yet he’s still not resting as he went ahead and released a brand new track of his collaboration project with Jay-Z, Watch The Throne.

To be honest, when I first listened to That’s My Bitch, the first 40 seconds of it, I didn’t really know what to make of it, but then the hook with Elly got on and everything after that seemed to flow much better.

Because the only other option it seemed was signing with Diddy. And nobody wants that nowadays. Don’t worry, Jay is not going to change Jay. This track is just what we’ve been hoping for, a longass excerpt intro building up to a mellow flow laden with rewind-worthy lines and some spaced out production. We’ve been waiting for new Jay for a long time, and like three days after singing with the Roc, we’ve got a two new tracks. We’re happy you’re happy, Mr. Electronica.

What better ways to end the week then with the weekly release of Kanye West G.O.O.D. Friday initiative? This time around, he collaborated with RZA, Hov, Swizz Beatz, Pusha T & CyHi Da Prynce to bring you a brand new record with So Appalled. If the title sounds similar, it might be because Kanye appeared on a Dirty Money/P.Diddy track that was named I’m So Appalled. I’m pretty sure that the similarities stops there though.

Also, is Swizz Beatz’ going to make the big jump? I mean he keeps popping up more and more as a featured rapper/singer and not just as a producer… As much as Swizz Beatz is a good producer, I’m not really sure a full album would be interesting. Guess only time will tell. Have a good weekend!

Kanye announced a week ago or so over twitter that he was going to release new music every Friday until his album drops, calling them fridays, G.O.O.D. Music Fridays. Well today was the first Friday since that said promise and Kanye delivered the goods as one might say, releasing the first peek of his freshly announced upcoming collaborative mini-album with Hov said to be entitled Watch The Throne.

Monster features Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, which is pretty usual as they are bound to land on a Kanye West track at one point, but most surprisingly this song features esteemed indie rocker, Bon Iver, which already stated a couple of weeks back that he had recorded a couple of tracks with Kanye West, so I guess that Monster is one of them. I was really eager to hear what a collaboration between Bon Iver & Kanye West sounded like when it was first announced, and I have to say that I am not disappointed… not one bit. I hope that Kanye stays true to his words and bring us new music every Friday, because if it’s anything like today, we are in for a threat ladies and gentlemen.

Oh well, who cares anyway right? Kanye dropped his long awaited remix and it’s all that matters. He promised awesomeness with this remix and I can safely say that Kanye kept his words because this song is just straight fire and he did so by enlisting the aid of heavy hitter his big brother Hov & producer extraordinaire Swiss Beatz to kick it up a notch, and kicking it up a notch they did… because goddamn, this shit is heavy.

Alright, so this collaboration was announced a little while ago and I was really wondering how it would end up. Hov and Usher goes in on a The Pollow Da Don produced song and will be appearing on Usher’s upcoming EP, Versus. This is also supposed to be the unfinished version of the song as there is talk that Ciara is set to take Ester Dean’s place on the final version that will be on the EP itself.

Versus is set to drop on August 24th.

It’s been in talk for awhile, but it’s finally here, here’s the Hov & DJ Green Lantern collaboration in the form of mixtape with Creative Control.

Before it was the mighty Neil Armstrong, DJ Green Lantern infamously toured with Jigga Man as his #1 on the 1′s and 2′s. In fact, around the time of his 2006 album “KINGDOM COME” Green & Jay had intended to drop ‘Presidential Invasion’ — a promotional mixtape created while the two were touring Africa and promoting Jay’s “The Diary of Jay-Z: Water for Life” conquest to aid African countries in the pursuit of clean water. That mixtape never materialized, and the hip-hop world was left waiting for that elusive Hova v. Evil Genius collaboration.

Four years later — with the summer of 2010 as the backdrop, and Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label and DJ Green Lantern’s Team Invasion as the suppliers — S. Carter takes it to the next level with a new kind of CREATIVE CONTROL. Green and Jay do the damn thing and drop this official new mixtape masterpiece, complete with trademark GL production, remixes, live appearances and never-before-heard music.
