Two Jamie Foxx posts in the same day? Yup! While I usually just put everything in the same post when I know that I want to write more than one thing of the same artists in one day, I thought that Jamie Foxx single, Fall For Your Type, deserved a much deserved spotlight as it was one of my most played song of November.
To be honest though, the video is definitely not doing it for me as it’s cheesiness factor is off the charts, but… the song is just great and will also be found on Jamie Foxx upcoming album, Best Night of My Life out on December 21st.
Oh and also peep the Drake-only version of this song, it’s even better.

Jamie Foxx is currently gearing up to the release of his fourth studio album titled Best Night of My Life. He recently released the title track of it featuring none other than prolific Pittsburgh hip-hop artist Wiz Khalifa which has been having quite a year and his next one looks just as big if not bigger. For my part, I am still waiting for a Blame It Pt. 2 as what he released so far seems to be taking a more laid back approach.
His album, Best Night of My Life, is set to drop on December 21st.

A Drake-only version of this song has apparently been released a while back, so I take it that he actually wrote the song and took it for a spin himself like we’ve seen him doing a couple of times already, before getting it to an actual artist. Well that artist is now known to be Jamie Foxx who is taking a much different route from his previous hit song Blame It, but everyone needs a laid back type of song once and awhile no?
Anyway, I no hate towards Jamie Foxx, but I wonder how the Drake-only version sounds like as I never heard it, I’ll probably go look it up as we speak actually…

Here’s Jamie Foxx performance of Blame It at the BET Award this Sunday with a brief cameo of Snoop Dogg alongside T-Pain & Travis Barker who’s rocking it out at the end of the track. Travis is making the song going extra hard like he does with all the tracks he ‘rock remixes’, he needs to release his version of Blame It and soon. Not gonna lie, I love this track.

“Drake is the new movement, man. You gotta think about what this kid has done, man. To have records on a mixtape, and then the next thing you know he’s on top of the charts. And every time you mention him, people go crazy,” Foxx told MTV News. “I’ve had the chance to meet Drake and listen to his music. The volumes of music he’s producing makes him a strong force that’ll be around for a very long time. Because usually, when you see an artist of today, they do one thing — maybe they perform a song or do a great hook — but you seldom see a guy who can walk a song, all from the R&B end, and then to be on a track with Bun B … and Bun B, he doesn’t get on tracks with people unless it’s really legit … so I’m actually honored to have him on a track called ‘Digital Girl,’ and we will be working with each other in the future.”

Jamie Foxx premiered the remix of his track Digital Girl on Conan O’brien where Drake replaced Ye & The Dream on the original track … and as much as I like Jamie Foxx, I have to say that his performance was horrible …
