Interpol is now touring for their new self-titled album released this past week and they stopped by The Jimmy Kimmel show last night. They’re playing Barricade and Summer Well(which I really loved at the first listening). The album sounds pretty like the older stuff, but it’s good to have new Interpol!

This came out a week ago or something, but I’ve been so so busy all around lately… So NYC indie-rocker Interpol released the Moh Azima directed visuals for the lead single (technically second if you count Lights), Barricade, of their upcoming self-titled album.

The album is set to drop on September 7th, but it’s been on the internet for a little bit. I have yet to listen to it’s entirety, but I’ve heard that it was so-so… I guess everyone can make up their own opinions about the album, but the mass consensus of the Interpol fan is that it’s not as good as they hoped for, but like I said, everybody has different taste and I can say that my friends who went at their concert in Montreal a couple of weeks ago were blown away.

Even if indie-rockers Interpol are set to release a new album in the upcoming months, they are not ones to make alot of noise about it. They quietly released their first single of it a couple of months ago where secrecy was the word and seems like they are using the same process with the release of the second single and title track of their fourth studio album.

Barricade is set to drop on September 7th.

New York indie band Interpol released a brand new song entitled Lights via their website this afternoon and it’s fairly decent… To be honest, I’m not what you could call the biggest fan of Interpol… even if I liked Julian Plenti’s solo project [alot], but I gotta give credits where it’s due as it’s no small feat for a band to succeed at staying relevant throughout their career and well, Interpol has been managing that for over 10 years… all that while staying true to themselves.
