To stay in the How To Make It In America vibes, here’s the official videoclip for Aloe Blacc track, I Need A Dollar, theme of HBO tv show. Currently working on a forthcoming album entitled Good Things, I can honestly see nothing else, BUT good things happening for Aloe Blacc.

Ahhh, well here I am, back on my grind, after an extended Easter weekeend (Happy late Easter everyone). To start this shortened week in beauty, here’s the season finale of How To Make It In America that was aired last sunday. I know it’s a day late, but yeah, I was taking some little off time.
I have to say that the season finale wrapped up nicely, even if I personally think that not alot of things happened in this eight episodes first season, but I like tv shows that don’t take it for granted that they will be having a second season and give some cliffhanger ending at the end of the first one, only to NOT be resigned for a second season… but fear not, How To Make It In America affectionados, I’m pretty sure a second season is already, or soon to be, in the works as the first season was a great success… And with that over for the summer, HBO will be making all the room necessary for Entourage, which will be starting in the upcoming weeks!

I’ve been praising and praising HBO newest TV Show How To Make It In America theme song ever since it started to air seven weeks ago. Well here I am sharing my love for the song in it’s full length glory [Alright, so to try and avoid a shitstorm, I initially wanted to wait for the video to drop to post the mp3, but I saw P&P posting it this morning and decided why not, and yes I used the same quote that P&P used, because, well it's on the Stone Throw website since mid February]. It was also cited on the tv show website that an official video for the song was in the works and was about to make it’s way on the internet, so keep your eyes out for that.
This is the lead off single from Aloe Blacc’s forth coming album Good Things, produced by Truth & Soul, and featuring the backing band known as Expressions and El Michels Affair. The A-Side “I Need A Dollar” has just debuted as the theme song to the HBO series How To Make It In America.
The 12-inch vinyl for “Dollar” will be in stores April 2010. This is an advance digital release, which is also available on iTunes. Instrumentals for both tracks are included. The album Good Things will be released in 2010 – track list & street date TBA. – Stone Throw
How To Make It In America is basically Entourage (same producers etc..), but for the street kids, so if you haven’t watched an episode yet, I highly suggest for you to start as the season finale is next week [already], and if you are, well you can watch the season finale next week right in here.

Here’s your weekly dose of How To Make It In America… I don’t know if I shared this with y’all yet or not, but the theme song of the tv show is possibly the best one I’ve ever heard lately, damn AND features the best music, I mean, Damian Marley & Nas? damn x2.

Your weekly dose of How To Make It In America. You know, I really wished that it’d be an one hour tv show instead of being thirty minutes… seriously, it’s just too short.

Here’s this week How To Make It In America, the show with the best intro song I’ve heard as of late, just so fitting the mood of the show. Also this week showcase a bit more of CuDi’s character than the previous week.

Are you watching this show yet? How To Make It In America is the new Mark Wahlberg executively produced show following the adventures of two New York cool kids named Ben (Bryan Greenberg) & Cam (Victor Rasuk) trying their best to make a name for themselves, CuDi is also part of the supporting cast, but we haven’t seen a whole lot of him yet. The show leaves the glits and the glamour in Los Angeles to the other Mark Wahlberg’s show (Entourage) and goes the complete opposite way and embrace the raw and realness of the cold streets of NYC… when you think about it, in a way, this show is basically what the prologue of Entourage would have been as it’s all about getting up there and how they did it as we never actually saw how Vince and the rest of the boys were living it up before Vince got his big break on the silver screen. How To Make It In America is a new series about getting there where everything can happen.
