Calvin Harris has become master in creating 80/90s throwback joints, his recent single, Flashback [which is definitely a flashback to a prior era], is no exception to the rule, being the third single off his latest album Ready For The Weekend.
I personally prefered his old material, which was a little bit more acoustic and a little less electro, but while his new sound definitely opens Calvin to a greater mass audience, we don’t need another David Guetta.

Well even though Calvin Harris latest album, Ready For The Weekend, is a somewhat underwhelming, he can still thrown down some decent remixes, here his take on Shakira latest single She Wolf.

Well I’ll say that this is pretty impressive/amazing! Calvin Harris performs his latest single, Ready For The Weekend, only by using girls in bikinis who acts as synthesizers using special paint and what seems to be dance dance revolution pads (which clearly are more technical than that, but for the sake of naming them, let’s keep it that way). So hard to be an artist right?
Calvin’s upcoming album. Ready For The Weekend, is set to drop next monday, August 17th to be precise.

So we’re already six months in 2009 and well into the seventh … here’s a little shortlist of what I thought best of what was released so far (in no particular order). I know Top 30 might seems like an odd number, but I just wrote down songs off the top of my head and it ended up around 28, so i added 2 more to reach 30. You might also notice that I play around with the release dates of the songs, some of them leaked in 2008 and are still on the list, because they were officially released in 2009 and so on … anyway, here it is in no particular order.

Here’s Rascal’s latest single off his upcoming album Tongue ‘N’ Cheek. While it’s definitely different from his old grimey days, I have to say that it’s still pretty good even if it feels a little bit more mainstream, and what else to expect off a Calvin Harris production?

Never been known to post alot of remixes in here, I’m somewhat a sucker for everything that Calvin Harris releases …. pause, also the fact that everything he touches right now turns pretty much to gold. Anyway, here’s his take on Katy Perry latest single Waking Up In Vegas.
