Wale

Wale has been pretty quiet lately, in fact it’s been two months that he was completely away from everything and just focusing on working on new material, but he is officially back on his grind and currently gearing up toward the release of a new mixtape entitled More About Nothing… following up his successful mixtape The Mixtape About Nothing, a title that was an ode to Seinfield as Wale is apparently a huge fan of Seinfield to begin with.

Anyway, so here’s two tracks of that said project… actually one confirmed track (Workin), while there is no word on the placement of the freestyle as of yet. You can also possibly expect more tracks leaking on the interweb as the date of the release of his mixtape comes closer.

Mp3: Wale – Who Don’t ft. Fat Trel & Black Cobain

Wale

Apparently this song is the result of basketball player Brandon Jennings asking Wale to make him a song for him to warm up to before basketball game. Wale being a huge sport fan probably couldn’t say no and he recruited some of his DMV buddies to piece together a track and here is what the end product sounds like.

Oh yeah and Wale was in Montreal two weeks ago, yup… and I didn’t find out about it until waaay late on his twitter where he was advertising that the performance was going to be ustreamed. First of all, who booked him to make an appearance to the Tonic Club Lounge? that place is hella wack… watching it through Ustream was also very awkward as the crowd didn’t even seem to know who the fuck Wale was… I don’t know if it’s the majority of Montreal who is late as fuck on Wale or just the crowd at Tonic, but at some point Wale performed for the webcam and not even the crowd. I also heard that he was touring to some high schools or something, what’s up with that? who the hell books Wale’s performances? because that shit is just shady… I could compare his venue choices to the decision of Lady Sovereign to appear on that British Big Brother reality show… just odd choices considering their status.
