While Big Boi’s debut solo album, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty might be one of the most awaited album this year, he’s definitely not wasting time coming out with material that will be found on that said album. Fresh off the built momentum of his first single, Shutterbug, he unveiled the visuals for his newest single, General Patton.
Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty is set to release on July 6th via Def Jam.

The tracklist of Big Boi solo album was released yesterday and to my surprise, this little Dungeon Family reunion produced by the one of the busiest and hottest producers of the moment, Boi-1da, was not part of it. Big Boi released a statement on his twitter explaining the situation that apparently, Jive Records basically blocked Andre from appearing on Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty… So it remains to be seen if an alternate version without Andre might be released as bonus track to the album and what not when it drops on July 6th.

Still surfing on the forward momentum of the release of the lead single of his upcoming single, Big Boi revealed the second excerpt of Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico with General Patton. J Beatz layed down the production on this one and offers ATLien Big Boi a beat that meets epic and military half-way and also making it 2 for 2 so far as for Big Boi song releases of his upcoming album in term of quality.
Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico is set to drop on July 6.

At one point, May 4th was set to be the release date of Big Boi debut solo album, Sir Luscious Leftfoot: The Son of Chico Dusty, but seems like plans might have changed as that never happened and as the release date was pushed back to July 6th. At least he’s keeping us completely reeled in, with the release of the official visuals for his excellent single Shutterbug.
It’s basically a cut that’s all about capturing the moment, whether it be your kid’s first steps or you got a Polaroid and you with your lady somewhere. It’s about capturing the moment and getting them good times. When you look at certain photos, it takes you back to the moment, and that’s what it’s about. It’s a funky, get-down, slap-your-sister-in-the-mouth jam. – Big Boi.

Here’s the first single off the upcoming album of Big Boi, half of Outkast entitled Shutterbugg and produced by Scott Scorch. His album, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, is set to drop on May 4th and will be released via Def Jam… I have to say that if it’s anything similar like what we’re hearing with Shutterbugg, we’ll be in for a wild ride!

Well is this a dope song or what? I didn’t get the drop on the song before today, but hot damn I’m kinda biting my fingers for not having listened to the song before now, it’s a fully packed feel-good uplifting type of song, just the type we need with the summer finally starting to creep it’s way in our lives. Tight Rope features Janelle’s good friend and Outkast very own, Big Boi and is also the lead single of her upcoming album The ArchAndroid set to release on May 18th.
