I’m not sure where this song is from or actually on what project it was initially supposed be featured on if at all, but it’s apparently the result of the first time Eminem and B.o.B linked up together to collaborate which then probably led to the remix of B.o.B Airplanes.

BBC listed Jessie J as their top artist to watch in 2011 in their Sound of 2011 list and rightly so as her debut single, Do It Like A Dude, was a massive success and seems like her second single, Price Tag is heading toward the same success, if not bigger. Produced by Dr. Luke and featuring B.o.B, the song seems a little bit more radio-friendly than her previous single which just goes to show that Jessie J is more than a one trick pony and an artist to look out for in 2011.

Her debut album, Who You Are, is set to be released March 2011 in the UK and April in the US.

Another mixtape was released this week, while the first one might have been a little bit subpar on the expectations, this B.o.B mixtape fufills each and everyone of them and sounds even more superior to his commercially released debut album B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray. But you know how it goes right? Mixtape artists being mixtape artists and maybe not mainstream album kinda artists due to restrictions that usually comes with signing a deal. Think Asher Roth, Wale etc… and even if B.o.B debut album was a massive success, it sounded quite different from his mixtape days, which seems to be a sound he went back to with this mixtape for each and everyone pleasure.

If you guys were not sold on the extremely talented Jessie J when I posted her debut single, Do It Like A Dude, a couple of weeks ago, this will surely make you sway her way. I mean, to be honest her previous release felt a bit overproduced which resulted in drowning her vocals in the mix, but this song is definitely the other end of the spectrum.

Don’t you think that Price Tags has a sort of a Where Is The Love? [Black Eyed Peas] vibe? Not only that, but it sure does have the approachability and light-hearted pop flavour to it too.

Going over Asher Roth, Fuck The Money, B.o.B joins forces with Wiz Khalifa to offer us another taste of his upcoming mixtape, No Genre.

Granted the song is not as good as his previously released Beastmode, it still is the type of music I’d like B.o.B to stick around, but I understand how this works and I’m happy for him that he made smash hits and made money with his debut album, but seriously, B.o.B should make more stuff like Beastmode and less like … let’s say, Magic.

B.o.B released the visuals for his latest single a week ago or so, but he is now shifting gears to start promoting his upcoming mixtape, No Genre, with a video of its own for the first excerpt of it titled Beastmode. And to be honest, no hate to B.o.B, but he definitely stayed true to the title track by going in hard on the track which kind of caught me by surprise after hearing songs like Magic and most of his debut album, which is all fun and games, but hey, this is some vintage mixtape days B.o.B and if No Genre is anything like this, I’m all for it.

With the help of MTV, B.o.B premiered the video for his newest single, Don’t Let Me Fall, directed by Ethan Lander, the same guy who visualized the very colourful video for his breakthrough hit, Nothin’ On You. This time though, Ethan takes a more subtle approach by using shots in Denver and the Red Rocks Park mixing it up with footage of B.o.B performances from his early days to his new found fame since the release of his debut album, B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray.

Lupe released this song via his twitter today featuring his very own hip-hop supergroup and to be perfectly honest, it is the first time I hear about new group even if it was announced back in April or something, but then again I am not really following day to day news in the hip-hop game.

Anyway, For your knowledge (and mine), AllCityChessClub is composed of Asher Roth, Charles Hamilton, The Cool Kids, Blu, B.o.B., Diggy Simmons, Loopy Tabasco & Dosage. J. Cole & Wale are also supposedly part of the group, but they didn’t make an appearance on the track… AllCityChessClub is basically the XXL Freshmen of the past two years making songs together.

I first heard this song on my 18 hours drive back from North Carolina, I wasn’t sure if it was a B.o.B song, or a Weezer song, but with a new album on the way, I thought it made more sense to be a Weezer song from their Hurley album. And as a Weezer song, I wasn’t really sure how to take it, it didn’t really sound Weezer-like, but with their previous Lil Wayne collaboration, it felt like it was the natural progression… of you know… try and sell more cds.

I didn’t find out that I was wrong until recently when I was randomly listening to B.o.B’s debut album and figured out that it was actually B.o.B’s newest single and to be honest, I actually feel sort of relieved now that I know that it’s a song under B.o.B repertoire featuring the lead singer of Weezer, Rivers Cuomo and not the other way around, just because… B.o.B can handle this sort of corny tracks, Weezer on the other hand, not so much.

I fell in love with Janelle Monae, the very second I heard the lead single of her latest album. I mean how could anyone resist her appeal… Tightrope was such a lighthearted and uplifting song just in time for the beginning of summer… which easily made it’s way on my summer jam rotation. This is, however, the first time I hear about this Wondamix, but with names like Lupe Fiasco and B.o.B attached to it, I knew I couldn’t be disappointed by it, so it’s to no surprise that this remix of Tightrope keeps the whole lighthearted vibe of it, but adds a little torque to it brought in by Lupe and B.o.B.
