Swedish artist, Robyn was passing by the BBC Radio studios this week for a Live Lounge Session where she did an almost-perfect rendition (minor lyrics hiccup) of Alicia Keys Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart which is one of Alicia’s strongest songs out of her latest album, The Element of Freedom.

Still going on the forward momentum of Alicia Keys Un-Thinkable remix, Alicia Keys and Drake links up once again, but this time on the original version of Drake’s intro song of his upcoming debut album, Thank Me Later. It’s a good thing to see Alicia Keys and Drake hook up again as they really seems to be on the same level musically speaking as their chemistry is spot on. Wonder what else we can expect of them in the future, may it be up front or behind the scenes.
Next, we have the long awaited collaboration between Drake & Hov… entitled Light Up, the song sounds different from the other material we’ve heard from his album so far and I gotta say that while they both do their things, Jay-Z verse seems a superior. And yes, before you say anything, the track is tagged, but it’s too big to pass on it.
And a small reminder for all of you, Thank Me Later is 3 weeks away, due to drop on June 15th, but you guys probably knew that already.

When Alicia Keys latest single came out, I was already seeing Drake getting on the track, not only because he co-wrote it, but because the whole vibe fitted him like a glove. And what do you know, one of the first, if not the first, remix comes out and Drake is featuring on it… I just feel like he should have layed more than just one single verse, because the what is displayed is impeccable. And that is saying much as Un-Thinkable is already as close to impeccable as it is.

While Drake co-wrote this song and can even be faintly heard in the chorus, it’s One Tree Hill very own, Chad Michael Murray who takes part in the official video which backdrops an inter-gender love story between him and Alicia Keys which tries to play on the fact that no matter the colour you are, love will remain… or will it?
Anyway, I’m calling it now, I can see rappers getting on this beat from a mile away, so expect to see a couple of “freestyle” in the upcoming weeks.

Here’s a brand new track of Lupe Fiasco that will be found on his upcoming album, Lasers, which is suppose to be out later this year as an official release date is set to be given this week. Love Letter To The Beat was initially supposed to be on Alicia Keys album As I Am back in 2007, but the Chad Hugo produced song didn’t make the final cut. It was since given to Lupe for him to use on his upcoming album as it seems that he is not one to waste good material away.

Here’s another Alicia Keys joint, and while I still thought the original version was better than Alicia Keys take of Jay’s Empire State Of Mind, this Green Lantern engineered remix featuring Raekwon, Capone-N-Noreaga & Style P, while still not better than the original version, does in fact give it a run for it’s money.

It’s actually hard to find a follow up to a major release like Drop The World of Lil Wayne, but you can’t get enough of Alicia Keys, I mean come on … Anyway, she was on Late Night with David Letterman to promote her newest album The Element of Freedom with her latest single Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart.
Alicia Keys newest album, The Element of Freedom can be found in retail stores and on iTunes as of now.

Ahhh, there’s been alot of talk about the Alicia Keys reworked version of Jay-Z track Empire State of Mind. I personally prefer the original version as this one sounds a little bit too empty, but the vibe is still going strong as the piano work is definitely able to take the listener somewhere else.

With the whole world going frenzy over superpowered humans with the rise of Marvel comics to the silver screen and tv shows like Heroes, here’s Alicia Key’s take on the whole affair with the release of her second single off her upcoming album The Element of Freedom due for December 15th.
