Well this is a nice surprise… I don’t know if I should be more surprised about the fact that they did a video for the CuDi’s remix, or the fact that I didn’t consider the idea of a video especially since remixes are getting alot of videos lately. It’s basiscally a reworked version of the original one adding the Cudder to a couple of scenes… CuDi feels a bit out of place, maybe it’s just due to the montage and what not, but CuDi is still the perfect addition to this fantastic track none the less.

So yesterday, it was the 52nd annual Grammy Awards… things happened and prizes were giving out, but most of all performances occured, some better than others, so if you missed out on them, here’s your chances to catch a handful that I thought were pretty good.

Lil Wayne - Drop The World ft. Eminem / Drake - Forever ft. Lil Wayne, Eminem & Travis Barker

First and foremost, here’s the Lil Wayne, Eminem and Drake performance with Travis Barker on the drums, performing Drop The World and Forever without Kanye West who apparently didn’t attend this year edition due to the fact that he wasn’t going to win anything. This is also the uncensored version as the televised CBS version had fucked up censorship that had 5 muted seconds everytime they thought a swear word was coming up.

Lady Gaga & Elthon John

Lady GaGa’s performance was probably the most theatrical performance of the night as some black dude made sure that we knew by the end of the night that Lady GaGa was a monster and had no soul… and yeah, I’m not even going to go into the whole Illuminati business, because it always end up in some rabbit hole bullshit.

Michael Jackson Tribute

And the Grammys would have not been complete without the proper Michael Jackson tribute. Artists like Celine Dion, Usher, Jennifer Hudson and more were all gathered together to perform Earth Song. The video showed on the screen on stage was actually 3D and the crowd was given out 3d glasses to see it in it’s full fledged glory.

You can also see at 4 minutes 22 that Will.I.Am was very disappointed that the whole audience was jacking his fashion statement as he was wearing a pair of his own (3D glasses) just for the looks.

In case you were wondering what was the deal with all the football/soccer footage, well this alternate version of Canadian K’Naan song, Wavin’ Flag is actually the the official anthem of the FIFA 2010 World Cup… featuring Spanish pop star David Bisbal and alot of football/soccer related images. As much as I like K’Naan, I have to admit that the video is waaaaaaay beyond cheesy, but I guess it’s a good thing that he’s getting some recognition… but yeah, cheesy video.

I said it and will say it again, but I just love how the Yeah Yeah Yeahs project through the years, while some might say that they lost some of their rawness, I think they gained in maturity. You’ll also find the acoustic version of the song down below, a song that was part of the iTunes bonus songs if I remember correctly.

Being on the soundtrack or not, it doesn’t really matter since it really comes down to if it’s a good track or not… and yes it is a good track (no surprise there)

While in Boston, Jason Goldwatch took sometime to record some footage of CuDi just chilling out and stuff and fixed it with his recent track Cudderisback. CuDi also announced the name of his sophomore album to be Cudder and The Revolution of Evolution. As you probably know, the album will not come out anytime soon as his debut album was just released a couple of months ago, in fact no date has been heard so far.

Here’s some new material of Mr. West. Actually the first verse of it is actually part of Sophia Fresh (T-Pain’s girl group…) single also called What It Is. He is definitely killing the first verse, but apparently ran out of idea for the second verse. The whole song was released awhile ago, but I never heard of it before this week when this Kanye unreleased version surfaced on the internet, so that goes to show I guess…

And no the girls in the pictures are not Sophia Fresh… It’s a picture taken at last year Paris Fashion Week (not that there’s any shortage of this year edition… but I don’t know was too lazy to find a good one) where Yeezy seems to be sitting next to Mischa Barton… Why Mischa Barton was even there? I have no clue since her career died around the second season of The O.C.

Alright, so a loonie is a Canadian one dollar coin and changing the title of the track from Money To Blow to Loonies To Blow is quite not only somewhat funny, but fitting since A-Trak is born and bred from Montreal and Drake from Toronto… Birdman’s is not Canadian, but then again Birdman is nowhere near relevant.
