Alright people, this is DOPE as FUCK. Childish Gambino is actor and comedian Donald Glover… yes the funny and lovable black guy from the TV show Community and movie Mystery Team. I think that like everyone else, I knew that the guy was a very funny dude, but I never expected anything of this level in terms of music. To be honest, I only recently discovered that he was actually doing music and didn’t really pay attention up until this morning when someone sent me the video for the title track of his recent tape that dropped this week or something. I’m actually loss at words to describe how much his mixtape, Freaks and Geeks, goes hard, I mean damn, just listen to it already !
The next Drake? maaaaaybe, I mean they share similar background and Freaks and Geeks has that Ransom feeling without the inclusion of Lil Wayne. I’m certainly getting on board right now than later though.

Fresh off the release of her new album, Wounded Rhymes, the Swedish singer unveiled a live performance of I Know Places which took place up in space… on the moon to be more precise. Yup, the moon.
Grab yourself a copy of Wounded Rhymes here if you didn’t yet.

You know, I still don’t know from where Alex Clare is coming from, but he keeps dropping quality music like no one else business and I guess that’s all that matters in the end. Relax My Beloved was released a little while ago, but I only first heard it earlier this week, so it’s not his latest stuff as he’s on the verge to drop the video for his upcoming single Closer. And while still produced by Diplo & Switch, much like the rest of his yet untitled album, this song was mastered by 16Bits himself making this song an odd combination of many things yet still very much awesome.

Alright, so Barry Southgate is an Australian singer that sent me his newest single, Don’t You Think, which is the exact type of music that I need to hear with the horrible and shitty weather that is going on outside. He’s sort of a mix between Bruno Mars & Jason Mraz, at least on this song as this is the only thing I’ve heard of him so far, but he’s currently gearing up toward releasing a EP in the first quarter of the year (not much time left) titled Epitome.
Grab the single on iTunes and head to his website for more info.

Well after posting the latest single of Pharoahe comes something at the complete opposite of the spectrum with the visuals for the newest Chris Brown single and bonified banger, Look At Me Now featuring Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne. I’m pretty sure that this song will be heard in the clubs on an almost annoying level in the upcoming months.

Pharoahe Monch unveiled the video for his latest single, Clap (One Day), in the form of a short film. I have to say that the release is pretty convenient considering the status of Lupe’s newest album, L.A.S.E.R.S. and conscious hip hop in general. I’m actually wondering if the title of Pharoahe’s upcoming release W.A.R. is a shot at it… Now I wouldn’t go as far as saying that Lupe’s music is the same as Pharoahe, but his music was always considered as entry level to conscious hip-hop in the mainstream medias and his songs were always carrying a message… up to now.

XXL 2011 Freshman, Lil B, unleashed his collaboration with 9th Wonder, Phonte and Jean Grae, people I would never imagine getting on a track with Lil B in the first place, but I guess there’s a first for everything and you can never go wrong with a 9th Wonder production. It’s just not the typical Master Chef, Lil B, cooking song.
