Kanye is on a damn roll lately, after unleashing his latest release with the first peek of his collaborative album with Hov this past Friday with Monster, Yeezy drops another one on us with his very own remix of Justin Bieber single, Runaway Love.
The news of him working with Justin Bieber has been in talk for a little bit, but to be honest not that surprising… especially after hearing the song as it reminds me of when they made that CuDi song from a GaGa acoustic recording. What was surprising though, was the fact that he got got Raekwon on the track, making the addition of the Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nothing To F*ck Wit sample just plain fitting for the occasion.
R : We know how much you guys love DJ drops and radio tags, but here’s the CDQ.

Here’s some good shit. This is what dorm room hipster-hoppers should look up to and really aspire to sound like. Not that Somewhere Else falls into that category, it’s just that you can tell it’s the true intentions of artists like Sammy Adams and any artist who both checks 2 Dope Boyz every 15 minutes and weighs under 145 pounds. Somewhere Else sure as hell have their own sound, and it’s a force to be reckoned with. I’m still going through this mixtape as we speak, but anything that Odd Future cosigns, you should as well. And you should cosign Odd Future while you’re at it, because they’re killing it. Why the fuck haven’t I posted more on them? Enjoy Somewhere Else’s spankin’ new mixtape while I work on 10 more Odd Future posts.

After a huge success with his first single OMG in is album Raymond V Raymond, Usher is a ”must” in today’s nightlife music list. Now, he’s bringing a new single from his next album Versus. In a short amount of time after the released of this single to iTunes on July 13 and the music video on August 25th, this hit song, DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love, became the fourth highest debut on the Billboard Hot 100 of his career, behind 1997′s Nice & Slow at number nine, 1998′s My Way at eight, and 2010′s OMG at number fourteen. Of course with Pitbull’s featuring, this song will keep his position on the charts for a while since the same thing is happening with Enrique’s new single I Like It. Is Pitbull becoming the new secret ingredient for today’s hit? We’ll see.

Hollywood is a complete throwback rapper, his tracks make you nostalgic for that old Rakim flow or that Ice Cube aggression. He’s far from gimmicky though, as he proclaims on “Stage Lights”, cause he’s “got RHYYYMES”. Seems like he’s the kind of rapper that’s concerned with clothes first and everything else falls after that, which I can definitely get behind.
And I’m constantly surprised and impressed by how legitimate mixtapes are becoming. They’re now pretty much free, legal albums. And for a lot of artists, the mixtape material is a whole lot better than the shit you have to actually pay for in stores (See: Asher Roth, Wale, Gucci Mane, and every other current rapper). But seriously though, Hollywood, just make people pay for this shit. It’s worth it.

Kanye announced a week ago or so over twitter that he was going to release new music every Friday until his album drops, calling them fridays, G.O.O.D. Music Fridays. Well today was the first Friday since that said promise and Kanye delivered the goods as one might say, releasing the first peek of his freshly announced upcoming collaborative mini-album with Hov said to be entitled Watch The Throne.
Monster features Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, which is pretty usual as they are bound to land on a Kanye West track at one point, but most surprisingly this song features esteemed indie rocker, Bon Iver, which already stated a couple of weeks back that he had recorded a couple of tracks with Kanye West, so I guess that Monster is one of them. I was really eager to hear what a collaboration between Bon Iver & Kanye West sounded like when it was first announced, and I have to say that I am not disappointed… not one bit. I hope that Kanye stays true to his words and bring us new music every Friday, because if it’s anything like today, we are in for a threat ladies and gentlemen.

I listened to this somewhere between 7-10 times today while at work. I take calls, so I almost ignored a few important ones just to let the song finish playing, but making money still outweighs watching youtube videos at home unemployed. But the fact that Tyler, The Creator‘s video made me contemplate unemployment – I think that’s a pretty good selling point?

This was previously released as the song known as Hurt which was featured on the unofficial Drake’s mixtape, Heartbreak Drake Part 3, but here’s the mastered and official version of it being a Dirty Money song which also is their latest single from their debut album, Last Train To Paris.

Rumours has it that this Drumma Boy produced joint might be some leftover song that was left on the cutting floor for Ricky’s latest album, Teflon Don. I sorta get why it was left out of the album as while it sounds good, it sounds like there is something missing throughout the song… At least we get to listen to it as them not putting it out would have been a crime.
