Well since I was talking about summer and the music it usually brings, I cannot not NOT talk about Two Door Cinema Club official video directed by One In Three for it’s latest and third single, Something Good Can Work, a song that definitely fills it’s share of feel-good-light-hearted-uplifting-song. Something Good Can Work is off their upcoming debut album Tourist History set to be released on May 3rd.

Well is this a dope song or what? I didn’t get the drop on the song before today, but hot damn I’m kinda biting my fingers for not having listened to the song before now, it’s a fully packed feel-good uplifting type of song, just the type we need with the summer finally starting to creep it’s way in our lives. Tight Rope features Janelle’s good friend and Outkast very own, Big Boi and is also the lead single of her upcoming album The ArchAndroid set to release on May 18th.

Delorean newest video for their song Stay Close, the lead single of their upcoming album Subiza, is definitely a treat for the eyes. Blur filtered mixed with explosions, flashy colors, jungle, water and dolphins… I mean it definitely has everything an acid trip would be if it could be visually represented… not that I know anything on the subject.

Subiza will be out digitally on the stoners favorite fake-holiday 4/20 and physically two months later on June 8th via True Panther Sounds/Matador. You can can pre-order the album right here, which if you do, will grant you access to an instant download of the album upon the release date.

Phantogram finally dropped the official video for their song, Mouthful of Diamonds, and I gotta say that I’m not really sure of the outcome of it… I personally think that the song would have fit a more atmospheric and darker video, a little bit in the same way of ideas Natasha Khan went for the video of Daniel as it seems the director wanted to head that way, but only achieved half of it. I actually find the first footage I saw of them performing Mouthful of Diamonds in a live session more compeling than the official video itself… but maybe that’s just it.

I’ve been praising and praising HBO newest TV Show How To Make It In America theme song ever since it started to air seven weeks ago. Well here I am sharing my love for the song in it’s full length glory [Alright, so to try and avoid a shitstorm, I initially wanted to wait for the video to drop to post the mp3, but I saw P&P posting it this morning and decided why not, and yes I used the same quote that P&P used, because, well it's on the Stone Throw website since mid February]. It was also cited on the tv show website that an official video for the song was in the works and was about to make it’s way on the internet, so keep your eyes out for that.

This is the lead off single from Aloe Blacc’s forth coming album Good Things, produced by Truth & Soul, and featuring the backing band known as Expressions and El Michels Affair. The A-Side “I Need A Dollar” has just debuted as the theme song to the HBO series How To Make It In America.

The 12-inch vinyl for “Dollar” will be in stores April 2010. This is an advance digital release, which is also available on iTunes. Instrumentals for both tracks are included. The album Good Things will be released in 2010 – track list & street date TBA. – Stone Throw

I stumbled upon this video of Dan Black performing his track, Wonder, during an acoustic session over KROQ radio station while checking my Facebook news feed this morning. The title next to the link could have not been more descriptive as it there was nothing… and the person who posted it is usually into bands like Fall Out Boy, Cobra Starship and what not, so I guess it’s really the luck of the draw that I decided to click on it. The performance is brilliant, but then again pretty much anything that Dan Black touches is nothing else, but brilliant. Wonder is definitely a stand out track (and one of my favorite) of Dan Black debut album Un that was finally released on North American soil last February 16th.

Here’s the official videoclip for MGMT newest single Flash Delirium off their sophomore album Congratulations. An album that the early reviews seems to bashing going as far as saying the worst album and/or biggest disappointment of 2010… and for having listened to it, my opinion does not stray far from the rest.

Here’s the newest single off of Dirty Money’s upcoming debut album Last Train to Paris, entitled Hello Good Morning. Produced by Danja and features T.I. proving once again why he calls himself the King of the South… I mean he just kills it. It’s been awhile since I’ve liked anything by the artist formely known as Puff Daddy, and while it’s mainly due for the Danja beat and T.I. feature, I gotta hand it to Diddy, this track is a club banger.

You can catch Diddy and his angels on American Idol this Wednesday where they will be performing none other than this track itself without T.I. as he is still in prison… he is in a transit home.

Last Train to Paris is set to drop on June 22.

Here’s the new single of Young Money first lady, Nicki Minaj featuring Sean Garrett… the video for it is already done and possibly almost out of post-production, will be featuring Kanye’s girlfriend herself Amber Rose and is set to be dropping in the upcoming days. Not sure how I feel about the track, but the ladies looks hot in the little video snippet that was leaked on the internet previously this week, so at least the video might be worth it.

I hit up Kanye & asked him if he had the a cappella files for this (which wasn’t out at the time). He gave me the files without hesitation. I turned over this remix rather fast but never finished it because I couldn’t come up with a hook for it. I played it for Kanye & he liked this a lot. So much, in fact, that he was going to reach out to Brandy to lay a hook down on this. Unfortunately, for me, Common didn’t feel this half as much as ‘ye did. So I got the word back from Common & Derek (his management) while they were in Japan that they were going to pass on it. It’s cool though. They are all still my brothers. No love lost. I only hated him for like 5 minutes. *ha* I keeed. I keeed.
