This video needs no introduction as this is the visuals for one of the stand out track of Hov latest effort. Combining Jay and Mr. Hudson seems like a perfect match as they take a fresh spin on Alphaville’s Forever Young song. Run This Town, Empire State of Mind and this song are all good and all, but I personally cannot wait until Jay decides to put out A Star Is Born as a single.

After Animal and Black & Blue, here’s the video for the third single of Swedish band, Miike Snow, with Silvia off their self-titled debut album which is also one of my favorite album of the year, from start to finish.

Here’s a new GaGa track in collab, once again with Darkchild, but not only does he produced the song, but he also dropped a verse, which is a ‘rap’ verse none the less.

Alright, sorry for the lack of posts, but I’ve been caught up due to my christmas vacations, this is in fact one of the first posts before the whole annual christmas blackout due of me moving to my folks for a week or two, where I don’t have access to internet except from old ass computers. Yes, I do not blog from a laptop, but from desktop computers. Anyway, before the whole merry Christmas and wishes since it’s basically Christmas Eve as I’m typing this … so here’s a Wale megapost featuring three new songs he released during the week, Stronger, Bedrock and Thank You are freestyles over Kanye, Young Money & Hov respective songs while The Meeting is new one produced by DC producer Osinachi.
So in the spring of 2007, I suggested to Wale that he create an audio manifesto of what he wanted to accomplish as an artist once he signed. DC producer Osinachi, the maestro behind “Nike Boots” who is now part of Rodney Jerkins’ team, blessed Wale with the beat for “The Meeting” and Wale, how do you say, “went in.” This became the first track we played in label meetings and for a time, it was discussed that this would be the intro for Attention Deficit. In retrospect, I think Wale stayed true to the goals set forth in “The Meeting” and you can still hear the hunger in his voice. So 2.5 years later, this track is emancipated. – elitaste

Ludacris wears his R&B hat as he goes over Robin Thicke single Sex Therapy off his latest album that also shares the name of the song. A nice change of pace for a Luda’s song.

Alright, I’ve seen Jay Electronica’s name around, but I’m pretty sure this is also the first time that I post anything about him, but I guess that having the name of Just Blaze attached to a track does, in fact, raise everyone’s attention including mine. So yeah, Just Blaze on the beat, Jay Electronica on the flow, making a pretty good track all around. This song is also the titled track of his newest EP also named the same way, that you can get it here on iTunes for 2.97$

D. Julien was probably one of the first name that I heard and didn’t know about when I first got into this whole blogging game. I believe that this is actually the first time that I posted about him though, he sent me his spanking new track, Prove ‘Em Wrong and here’s what he had to say about it:
“If you’ve ever been chasing a dream, had a goal and was focused but had negative setbacks and/or negative figures/people signaling that your mission was impossible, then you’ll feel this song wholeheartedly”. Here’s my version of that situation. A lot of updates/music to come as I work on the new project.

Alright, so Opie and Anthony has a segment on their show where they get to send homeless men to upscale clothings stores to shop, I’m not really sure how this is labeled as entertainment, but whatever, I never actually listened to the show, so I cannot say if the homeless guy actually gets to buy clothes or not.
Anyway, so during a preliminary interview to the shopping, a homeless guy named Mustard mentioned he was a musician. It was the only thing needed to get him a guitar and a microphone for a small studio session where he did his own rendition of Radiohead’s Creep, and to be honest, it’s fucking awesome. I could actually feel what he was going through, when he was at the ‘I wish I was special’ part, it is this awesome.

If I could name this week as something, it probably would be named something along the lines of the Young Money leak week, as alot of their tracks made it’s way to the internet as their debut album, We Are Young Money, is right around the corner and prepping to hit the shelves on December 21st.
