Is Q-Tip’s cousin finally going to get his big break? The first single off Cons TV seems to point it that way. Having A-Lister like John Legend & Kanye on the track definitely helps, but don’t fool yourself, the song itself is pretty dope. Let’s see what happens when his album drops.

I was over Hypebeast the other day where i came across a thread that was claiming that no one remembered MJ’s song Earth Song and how great it was … well seems like someone does remember and that someone is no one else than Little Boots.

As you might know (or not), I am one of the biggest fan of Mr. Hudson, even before being put out on the map by Kanye, I was listening to his beats when he was still attached to a group, being called Mr. Hudson & The Library. I am truthfully happy for his new found fame and being taken under the wings of one of the greatest artist of our generation.
Mr. Hudson released Supernova back in May, and ever since the release of the song, Mr. Hudson was promising us an amazing video was in the work, and he finally released it this morning on this side of the Atlantic. The Mr. Hudson/Kanye West delivers one of the best video of 2009 to date. Visually amazing, I feel like Kanye West had a big part in the cinematography of it, which is never a bad thing, but still succeeds to feel unique and stand on it’s own as a Mr. Hudson clip.
This song will probably end up being the lead single (or did they make it official yet?) of his upcoming album Straight No Chaser dropping in October, which makes alot of sense since it would gain the momentum of having Kanye West on the track.

Here’s Jamie Foxx performance of Blame It at the BET Award this Sunday with a brief cameo of Snoop Dogg alongside T-Pain & Travis Barker who’s rocking it out at the end of the track. Travis is making the song going extra hard like he does with all the tracks he ‘rock remixes’, he needs to release his version of Blame It and soon. Not gonna lie, I love this track.

Here’s the newest video of Cobra Starship for the song Good Girls Go Bad. Ever since the release of Leighton Meester sextape … I have to say that having her in a song entitled Good Girls Go Bad makes a whole lot of sense.

Erykah Badu joined The Roots on Jimmy Fallon this past Friday to join The Legendary during their on-air tribute to the late Michael Jackson. While most of the treats happened between commercial breaks, Questlove was generous enough to pass along this cover of “I Wanna Be Where You Are” which they recorded live in the 30 Rock studio just before the taping began.

Wow, I didn’t want to blog today due to the excessive heat wave, but goddamn, we just lost an icon today. Michael Jackson died at 50 years old. I have no word to express the feelings running through myself right now … but I’m definitely speechless, and while his last decade might not have been all stars and sunshines, nobody can deny what he did for music throughout his career, and for that I say, Thank you Michael Jackson, you will be greatly missed and forever known as the greatest.
